Current works

My work is focused on the expressive application of resources I gather around me to create works of art that develop a dialogue with something inside that enables me to feel released from the mundane. Rather than seeking to understand the world around me through my art, I seek to find fulcrums that place themselves underneath my life experiences and create a sense of balance. At best my art has the ability to reach others in the same way.

New directions and explorations

Recent developments in ink jet printing technology have enabled me to make extensive use of the digital darkroom where new ideas can flourish. The high quality inks and range of media available is growing rapidly and it is only for the artist to dream of what might be possible to make it happen.

In the last few years I have been exploring new materials and substrates to print on and techniques that allow more creative possibilities in the field of inkjet printing. I use anything that I can put through a printer and having taken up mountaineering as a hobby generally subscribe to the notion that the closer you get to the edge the more interesting the view.
